Jeannae Brown is an educator with the ISD for 25 years and the president of The Friends of the National Frontier Trails Museum. She holds a master’s degree in Adult Education and began her museum journey as an intern at the National Frontier Trails Museum. Having traveled the Santa Fe, Oregon, and California trails, Jeannae grounds her work in authentic trail experience. In 2023, she received the Outstanding Educator Award from the Santa Fe Trails Association for her work educating students on the skills needed in the Trails Era. A champion of historic tourism, Jeannae emphasizes its power to draw visitors, support local businesses, and preserve our shared story. Through The Friends, she partners with educators, civic leaders, and local entrepreneurs to invite travelers and residents alike to experience the National Frontier Trails Museum and our historic corridor.
